The Early Bird (180g vinyl lp)

Born in 1920, Charlie ‘Yardbird’ Parker made it out of Kansas City via music. He played with several bands, experimenting all the while, declaring he was bored with the stereotype format of jazz. He set out to remove the obstacles that barred his way to musical perfection and remove them he did. In 1945 during October and November, Parker returned to the studios with a quintet that included Miles Davis, still only 21, to record the remainder of the material heard on Early Bird. Enjoy this excellent LP including “Don’t Blame Me”, “Bongo Bop” and “Dewey Square”.
